Tuesday Training classes Time changes

The Auxiliary Training meetings that were held on Tuesdays have now been officially changed by the Deputy Chief of Police and The coordinator. The new time for the start of training classes are to be 1830 and will be held EVERY Tuesday. This will take effect immediately.

As Chief of the Inkster Police Department, one of my many responsibilities is the oversight of the Auxiliary Police Division.  One of the goals of the Auxiliary is to enhance the safety of the citizens of this community.  The Auxiliary Division provides a wide variety of support to the Inkster Police Department.

Inkster Police Lt. Barry O'Bryan

 New Auxiliary Police Coordinator

Lt. O'Bryan, a longtime veteran and experienced Command Officer of the Inkster Police Department, was appointed the new Coordinator of the Inkster Auxiliary by Chief Marvin H. Winkler Jr. and Deputy Chief Gregory Gaskin.  Lt. O'Bryan's' dedication to law enforcement is exemplified with his extensive training and certifications.

 Lt. O'Bryan graduated with his Associates Degree from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks campus.  He is a Graduate of the 16th class of Police School of Staff and Command at Eastern Michigan University.  Lt. O'Bryan has multiple certifications from the Michigan State Police, including DARE school, hostage negotiations, arson investigations, and motor carrier enforcement.  He is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the International Association of Arson Investigators, the I.A.A.I. Michigan Chapter, the International Association of Hostage Negotiators, the International Association of Special Investigation Units, and the National Association of Reserve Police Officers.
